Fontainebleau Casino Luxury Watch Thefts Lead to Four Arrests

The first theft took place on August 17. The victim, identified as Ye Zaw, went into a restroom at the nightclub. As he exited the restroom, several people pushed and bumped into him, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Later, he realized that his watch was missing.

On September 15, the same suspects surrounded Roman Loyfenfeld while he was on the dance floor at the club. There was a brief scuffle and a short time later, he realized the luxury watch he was wearing had been stolen.

In both instances, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers reviewed surveillance video in an effort to identify the suspects.

The suspects were seen watching the intended victims, distracting them, and then apparently stealing the watches, according to Las Vegas TV station KLAS.

On November 22, Fontainebleau security guards spotted the same suspects at the resort-casino. They were identified by facial recognition technology, according to KLAS.

They were booked at the Clark County Detention Center for grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

The suspects were named by police as Milton Castillo Martinez, Laura Vargas, Briyith Munoz, and Johan Hernandez.

They are scheduled to appear in local court on January 22. If convicted, they could face prison sentences.

Both were planned thefts, according to local police.

They showed clear planning and coordination, by surrounding their victims and creating a diversion or friction with their bodies to distract the victim from the watches being taken off their wrist,” according to a LVMPD arrest report quoted by the Review-Journal.

A Fontainebleau spokesperson told the news outlet last week that “the safety and security of our guests and members is our highest priority.”

Last month, a reputed sex worker also was arrested after she allegedly stole a luxury watch from an unnamed man staying at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Koncina Brisbon, 30, reportedly met the man in the hotel’s Bleau Bar on May 19. She sat down near him, flirted, and touched him. An hour later, she while he was distracted, police said.

A short time later, the man and Brisbon went to the hotel’s front desk where he registered for a second room.

The two headed upstairs while holding hands. They kissed in an elevator, and hours later the man woke up in the second room to find Brisbon gone. His , $2,000 in cash, and $500 worth of casino chips also were gone.
